Security Tips
Encrypt8 helps you share passwords more safely, but good sharing habits still matter. Use these tips to reduce accidental exposure.
Use a short validity period
If the password is needed soon, choose the shortest practical expiration time. Short-lived links reduce the window for misuse.
Limit the number of opens
A low click limit is useful when only one person should retrieve the password. Unlimited retrievals are more convenient, but less restrictive.
Share the link separately
Send the retrieval link through a channel that is appropriate for your security requirements. If possible, do not place the link and the password in the same message.
Review before copying
Before you send the link, verify the password, recipient name, sender name, and message so the recipient sees the correct information.
Create a new link when needed
If the link has expired, was opened too many times, or you suspect it was shared too widely, create a fresh password link instead of reusing the old one.
