Retrieve a Password

The recipient opens the retrieval link and sees the stored password if the link is still valid. The page is designed for quick copy-and-use access.

What the recipient sees

If the link is still active, the page can show a greeting, an optional message, the current expiration status, and the password field.

Copy the password

Use the copy button to place the password on the clipboard. The visibility control can be used to reveal or hide the password while checking it.

Expired or used links

If the link has expired or the click limit has been reached, Encrypt8 shows an expired message instead of the password. In that case, ask the sender to create a new link.

What happens after retrieval

The app tracks how many times a link is opened, so the sender can enforce one-time or limited-use retrievals.
